Service of the Divine Redeemer
and to the work of the Gospel Ministry
His long life was an exemplification
of the doctrines and truths of the Bible.
For more than half a Century
He labored in the Ministry of
Reconciliation.
He loved the truth and contended
for it in its purity and simplicity.
He was the uncompromising enemy
of error and impiety.
In the various relations of life was
kind, affectionate, faithful and sincere.
Let those who read this inscription
remember their own frailty
and seek Israel's God as their Portion
and then end shall be peace
As was his whose Mortal remains
lie beneath this Clay.
