Additional Description: (Sept.13, 1880-May 5, 1945), a Buffalo Soldier, the name given to black Americans fighting in the Indian Wars of the 1870s, 1880s and the Spanish American War. They fought in the Spanish American War, charging up San Juan Hill with Teddy Roosevelt. They later served in the Philippines. (Memory Hill Cemetery tour)
