Fifth Site on the Historic Sites Tour of Abbeville County
The current house was built on the site of the summer home of Patrick Noble who was governor of S.C. in the 1840s. The boxwoods lining the front walk date from the earlier house. The present house was designed by the Atlanta firm of Bruce & Morgan who also designed Tillman Hall at Clemson University.
