Additional Description:
Thirty-third Site on the Historic Sites of Abbeville Tour
The house was built by William Brooks as a town house for his family, and it served as a boarding house. His youngest daughter, Maggie, lived here until her death at 94 and only four families have occupied this spacious colonial revival dwelling. The restored 2-story house with a hip roof is now a bed & breakfast. (Source: Historic Sites Tour of Abbeville County by the Abbeville Visitors Council (2010), pg 16.)
