Longstreet Felled marker | Additional Description: This marker describes the wounding of Lt. Gen. James Longstreet on May 6, 1864, during the Battle of the Wilderness. He was shot by his own troops only a few miles from where Lt. Gen. "Stonewall" Jackson was mortally wounded, also by friendly fire.
