Caption: North Creek Railway Station - September 14, 1901
Additional Description: This diorama of the North Creek station is on display at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. Mike Cronin's two horse carriage, that delivered Roosevelt to the station is in the foreground. Also next to the platform is the engine waiting to take Roosevelt on the first leg of his journey to Buffalo to be sworn in as the next President. The diorama caption says,
'North Creek Station
Theodore Roosevelt's carriage arrives and he leaps to the platform.
His secretary William Loeb gives him the telegram:
"McKinley died at 2:15 a.m. this morning" The day is September 14, 1901.'
