Billy Eckstine in the recording studio | Additional Description: After leading an all-star bop big band, Billy Eckstine in 1947 signed with MGM Records and began a solo career as a ballad singer. In the late 1940s he recorded a string of hits, including "Everything I Have is Yours" (1947), "Blue Moon" (1948), and "Caravan" (1949).
