Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway - Toll House | Additional Description: The Toll House, designed to look like a Swiss chalet, was completed in November of 1933, at a cost of just under $29,000. The current rate of toll, and seasonal schedule, is posted on the sign to the right. The flags are at half staff due to the recent passing of former New York State Governor Hugh Carey.
