Additional Description: Vaughan Quartet Here To Night Vaughan is the founder of the music known as Southern Gospel. From this location on the Square, Vaughn financed the first professional gospel quartets. Because of Vaughan and his many associates, the United States Congress has declared Lawrenceburg as the birthplace of Southern Gospel Music.
