Caption: Abraham Woodhull Home Marker
Additional Description: Abraham Woodhull was a member of George Washington’s Culper Spy Ring located on Long Island during the Revolutionary War. He lived in a house at this location with fellow spy Austin Roe. Here, Woodhull and Roe would prepare coded messages which were later ferried across Long Island Sound to Major Benjamin Tallmadge in Connecticut. Tallmadge would then deliver the messages to Gen. Washington.
