Caption: Durell's Battery Location
Additional Description: A single 10-pounder Parrott Rifle marks one of the locations of Durell's Battery during the battle. The position is about half-way between the Burnside Bridge and Branch Avenue, along the Final Attack walking trail. This particular piece is actually a 3-inch bore version of the Parrott, and produced in 1863. Durell's Battery used a 2.9-inch bore model during the battle.
