Additional Description: General Joseph Martin, Indian Agent for the Cherokee Nation. According to legend, Martin had up to five wives in his life -- two were white and three were Indian. Betsy Wide, Princess of the Cherokee Nation and daughter of Nancy Ward, was included in this list.
