Caption:
Gibson's Battery Field of Fire | Additional Description: Gibson's Battery went into action in a position astride the modern picnic area along Boonsboro Pike. This view from the picnic area is similar to that of the battery's field of fire. In the distance on the right is Cemetery Hill, where Confederate artillery was positioned and subject to the Battery's fire. However, Confederate skirmishers in the low ground beyond the ceder trees on the left harassed the Federal battery.
