Additional Description: This cannon was manufactured at the Cyrus Alger Foundry out of Boston, MA, registry no. 29. The cannon was inspected by Joseph Pearson Farley (1861-67). The internal foundry number for the cannon was 946. The weight of the firing tube is 1197 pounds. Although this is an 1857 model, it was manufactured in 1862.
