Marker in Princeton | Additional Description: This 18th century Georgian house was the birthplace of Commodore William Bainbridge, a hero in the War of 1812. He commanded several famous naval vessels, including the USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”). It is currently the home of the Historical Society of Princeton.
