Additional Description: This monument commemorates the Landing Place of Sebastian Vizcaino and Fray Junipero Serra at Monterey in 1602 (Vizcaino) and 1770 (Serra). It is located near the intersection of Pacific and Artillery Streets. The monument is California Registered Historical Landmark # 128.
