Caption: Lincoln's Locomotive
Additional Description: It is the "L. M. Wiley", named in honor of the "Director" of the Great Western Railroad. It was built by the Hinkley Locomotive Works of Albany Street, Boston in 1855 - being their #568 machine built. This locomotive pulled the "Presidential Special" from Springfield, Illinois to State Line City, Indiana - at which Lincoln switched trains.
