Photographer: Andrew Ruppenstein
Taken: February 23, 2013
Caption: The Ghirardelli Clock Tower
Additional Description: The clock tower forms part of the Ghirardelli retail complex, which is comprised of the former Pioneer Woolen Mills and Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory Buildings. Ghiradelli bought the mill complex and moved his chocolate factory to the site in 1894, with a number of buildings, including the clock tower, added in the following decades. In the early 1960's the former mill and factory buildings were converted into a retail and restaurant complex.
