Marker at West Point | Additional Description: The Moore House was located near where the Continental Army spanned the Hudson River (seen in the background) with the 600-yard, 65 ton Great Chain. When the Chain was removed for the winter, it was stored at the Moore House. 280 men were needed to accomplish this task.
