Image on From 'Cattle Capital' to modern city Marker | Additional Description: [Caption reads] A new school was built on Boot Hill in 1880 soon after Dodge City's infamous cemetery was emptied of bodies. Several more were reportedly unearthed when the school's basement was dug.
