Caption: Leonia Retreat Monument
Additional Description: This monument was originally located at the Moore homestead, one of Leonia's oldest houses. History has the Continental Army stopping at the Moore Homestead to rest and eat during their retreat across New Jersey. The British later visited there as well, and left with the Moore's livestock and slaves.
