Plaque on Building | Additional Description: The first biography of Abraham Lincoln
was published Feb. 11, 1860 in this building in the Chester County Times as an editorial by HJoseph J. Lewis. The autobiographical material was furnished by Lincoln through Jesse w. Fell, former Chester Countian. Lincoln is quoted as saying that this editorial was an important factor in his nomination for President of the United States
