Caption: Secession Ordinance of South Carolina
Additional Description: This copy of the Ordinance of Secession was displayed at the original South Carolina State House in Columbia. During the Union occupation of the city, it was taken by Capt. William McWorkman of Iowa before the state house was burned. It was returned to the State of South Carolina in 1990, and is currently on display at the State Museum.
