Additional Description: The elevator part of the shiplift is the broad deck. In the center is a row of keel blocks, timbers that support the ship's keel. The red coverings protect the eight hoisting mechanisms. At right, the whaleship Charles W. Morgan is undergoing restoration. Two of her spars can be seen on the shiplift.
