Conservation Corps
For their conscientious & untiring work for the Forest Service
This suspension bridge, built in 1933 was the first major construction project completed in the U.S, by CCC crews of the 1930’s. It is also the first project supervised by Mr. Huber, who later became a Regional Engineer. The Forest Service will retain the bridge for it’s (sic) historical interest and use by pedestrians...
