Additional Description: This building, built for the Linsly Military Institute in 1858, was the State Capitol of West Virginia twice. The Restored Government of Virginia also met here for two sessions. The 13th and 15th amendments to the Federal Constitution were ratified here for West Virginia. Later it became the Bertschy Funeral Home.
