Doctor Elisha Cullen Dick | Additional Description: Dr. Dick owned this house and lived here between 1791 and 1798. Dick commanded a cavalry company during the Whiskey Rebellion. He was one of the physicians present at George Washington's deathbed and served as mayor of Alexandria, District of Columbia.
(Alexandria was part of D.C. until 1848 when it reverted back to Virginia.)
