Caption: Entrance to Noman Monroe Cole, Jr., Pollution Control Plant
Additional Description: On February 23, 1998, the Board of Supervisors for the County of Fairfax, Virginia unanimously voted in favor of commemorating Mr. Noman Cole by renaming the Lower Potomac Pollution Control Plant to the Noman Monroe Cole, Jr. Pollution Control Plant and to establish a monument at the entrance of the facility in Lorton. The monument was paid for through private donations.
