The Eye of the Rich Land Wayside Exhibit
Photographer: Karl Stelly
Taken: June 1, 2014
Caption: The Eye of the Rich Land Wayside Exhibit
Additional Description: In May of 1775 Daniel Boone and Richard Henderson addressed delegates from the four settlements in "Kentucke" who had gathered at Fort Boonesborough, decrying the wholesale slaughter of game animals. Two of the nine bills enacted that month called for the preservation of game and of the range, respectively, but they were to little avail. (Courtesy Kentucky Historical Society)
