Caption: Town of Knox Marker
Additional Description: On June 21, 2014 The Knox Historical Soicety hosted a program about metal detecting on the lawn of the Saddlemire Homestead in Knox. Guest speakers Tony Torrisi and Rob Wolfe demonstrated to about 40 curious visitors effective techniques and proper etiquette for using metal detectors to uncover buried artifacts. Wolfe & Torrisi, local experts on using metal detectors at historic locations, recently found a Berne-Knox-Westerlo class ring that had been buried for almost 50 years and returned it to its owner.
