Died 15th September 1834 in Oglethorpe Co. Georgia
In the Legislature of Georgia,
in the Senate of the United States,
as minister to the court of France,
in the cabinet and on the bench,
he was a like, independent
energetic, fearless and able.
He died as he had lived in the
service of his country and left behind
him the unimpeached fame of
an honest man.
