Photographer: Zeke Ferrante
Taken: August 23, 2014
Caption: Milford Korea - Vietnam Monument Marker
Additional Description: In 1985, the Statue of Liberty was refurbished. Kevin Buckley, then Deputy Superintendent of the National Park Service, helped procure "two concrete stones" from Lady Liberty's pedestal for the Korea-Vietnam monument. The pictured plaque, which stands on its own small pedestal on two sides the Memorial, is a bronze facsimile of the letter that Mr. Buckley wrote to the sponsors of the Korea-Vietnam Memorial.
