Marker in Saratoga National Historic Park | Additional Description: On October 7, the Americans intercepted a force of 1,500 British and German troops near here. They responded with three columns under Colonel Daniel Morgan, Maj. General Ebenezer Learned, and Maj. General Enoch Poor.
