Named in grateful remembrance of the Right Honourable Albert Henry George, fourth Earl Grey, Governor General of the Dominion of Canada from 1904 to 1911, to whose lofty ideals and unfailing support the conception and carrying out of the National Battlefields Park were in a large measure due.
