Caption: Previous Rehoboth Church Marker
Additional Description: The previous, undated, roadside historical marker can be found in the museum next to the church, in the lobby. It reads: “Indians were still about when Rehoboth Church was dedicated by Bishop Asbury in 1786, and rifles as well as bibles were carried by the worshippers. This is the oldest church building west of the Allegheny Mountains.”
