Caption: The Biloxi Light, Biloxi, Miss.
Additional Description: A century ago, the lighthouse looked much the same, but the area around it was much different, with the water coming up nearly to the light. The keeper's house and boathouse (visible here behind the light) are gone, and the lighthouse now sits in the median of US 90, with a bit of beach to the south of the highway occupying what used to be open water.
