"Skyscraper" Building Now Occupies the Site | Additional Description: The original building was called the "Barnum Building." The second floor of the Barnum Building was the home of the law offices of Abraham Lincoln and Ward H. Lamon. In 1861 when Lincoln went to Washington, D. C., he asked Lamon to go with him. The cars parked at the red light block seeing the Marker.
