Yellow Fever Interpretive Sign | Additional Description: During the summer and fall of 1878, yellow fever struck the area. Pastor J.W. Sandwell on November 18, 1878, wrote that there were 180 yellow fever cases and 43 deaths. He added, “... none but the allusive God can see it is all for our good and His glory.”
