Caption: Nelson's Battalion View of Culp's Hill
Additional Description: During the night of July 2-3, 1863, Nelson's guns were placed just north of Hanover Road, not far from where Latimer's Battalion had been posted earlier on July 2. Nelson's Battalion had the task of drawing fire away from the Confederate infantry which was still heavily engaged on Culp's Hill in the early morning hours of July 3.
