Caption: Grandy's Battery Location
Additional Description: The marker is flanked by two empty carriages. The guns were removed for maintenance in 2008. The rifled guns were positioned here for parts of July 2 and 3, however the battery was in reserve during the great artillery bombardment preceding Pickett's charge. The howitzers were later placed into service here, but were not engaged.
