2.9 inch or 10 pounder Parrott | Additional Description: This Parrott Rifle, along with a 3-inch version, stand near the walkway to the North Carolina Memorial. Representing both Ross' and Wingfield's Batteries. This particular piece was produced in 1861 by West Point Foundry. The nearby 3-inch version (slightly larger to conform with standard ammunition calibers), was made in 1864.
