Rabbi Abraham Schwartz | Additional Description: "Rabbi Abraham Nachman Schwartz was considered the 'Chief Rabbi of Baltimore' during his tenure at Shomrei Mishmeres, the Lloyd Street Synagogue, from 1908 to his death in 1937. A charismatic leader, he was respected for his Talmudic scholarship and loved for his kind, congenial nature. He was also a pragmatic organizational genius who built several communal institutions." -- Jewish Museum of Maryland
