Second Rockbridge Artillery Position
Photographer: Craig Swain
Taken: August 16, 2008
Caption: Second Rockbridge Artillery Position
Additional Description: The stone wall in front of the tablet runs roughly parallel to West Confederate Avenue, north to south, long Seminary Ridge. The wall is about 10 yards from the road at this point. Notice the metal anchor point (red tape on the ground, just to the right of the tablet) for an artillery piece display. The guns in this section of the battlefield were removed for use in more heavily visited areas.
