Additional nearby marker on the 1947 restoration of the palace | Additional Description: The palace was restored during the Presidency of Miguel Alemán. The marker reads:
Con fondos del erario del estado se reconstruyo y adapto este palacio. Se digno inaugurarlo el C. Lic. Miguel Aleman, Presidente Constitucional de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, el dia 1º de octubre de 1947.
Las obras de reconstrucción y adaptación se iniciaron el mes de enero de 1944, por orden del C. Gobernador Constitucional del estado, Lic. Agapito Pozo, bajo cuya administración se llevaron al cabo.
