Caption: Position of Ward's Battery
Additional Description: Looking down the barrel of a cannon beside the tablet. Late on July 2nd, the Napoleons of Ward's Battery were deployed forward to a rise in the ground in the open field in the distance. From that advanced position, the guns participated in the action of July 3. Later, the section retired to a point near the tablet.
