Coronel Sebastián Molas Marker | Additional Description: The obelisk was constructed with a broken tip, as a way to symbolize Coronel Molas' short life. It was built in 1878 under the government of Manuel Romero Ancona. Originally it had a marker that read: "Aquí yacen los restos del coronel Sebastián Molas, héroe de la Guerra de Castas." (English: Here lie the remains of Colonel Sebastián Molas, Hero of the Caste War.)
