Additional Description: Columbus Piazza-The Italian-American Organizations United, Inc. and the Italian-American Community gratefully acknowledge the following individuals for their generous contribution toward the completion of this piazza. It is because of these people that the Italian ethnic heritage will live and endure. (Names not listed and Committee names not listed) The statue of Christopher Columbus was dedicated on October 8, 1984 by Ronald Regan, President of the United States and William Donald Schaefer, Mayor of the City of Baltimore.
