Additional Description: A Civil War militia monument (foreground) – also erected by UDC – abuts Remembrance Garden. It is inscribed with historical information about the militia from Suffolk and Nansemond County. In the far background is a fenced burial site for cremated remains, known as the Scatter Garden.
