Edgar Allan Poe, 1809 1849 | Additional Description: The bas-relief bust of Poe on the Poe Monument was originally carved of marble by Frederick Volck. The weathered marble bust was replaced in 1938 by a bronze bust. The 1938 bronze bust was stolen and replaced in the 1970s. The original marble bust is in the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum.
