Colonel Frank Butler
who died the 9th of August
A.D. 1827
in the 34th year of his age.
He was a man of strong
and enthusiastic feelings;
an ardent and devoted friend;
an open and fearless enemy;
an active and zealous officer;
public spirited and useful citizen.
He loved and respected his wife
and was an affectionate and
attentive father to his children;
for whose welfare and honour
be felt and expressed in honorable
solicitude.
This piece of marble is placed
over the remains by his
children.
